About
Offered by Luke 15 House. Offers a residential addictions rehabilitation treatment program for court-ordered male offenders based on the 12 step model of recovery. Participants obtain the necessary life skills and tools required to successfully reintegrate back into the community. Following an intake assessment, residents learn from shared experiences, have access to addictions services and support group programs modelled after the 12 step recovery model, acquire new life skills, and develop the stability required to sustain a sober and productive lifestyle. Topics include identification of triggers, relapse prevention strategies, communication skills, effective behaviours and anger management. Addiction support physician and nurse visit the centre weekly. Also supports crime prevention through public safety awareness programs.
