Across Boundaries: An Ethnocultural Mental Health Centre

Completely dissatisfied with the service I "did not receive". I completed my intake with a staff member via phone and was told that I would be receiving a confirmation email. I did not receive it that day, I waited until the end of the week then followed up and was told that the rep that helped me had been in intake all day and would likely send the confirmation later. I confirmed my email address with the receptionist and decided to wait another couple of days. I followed up again a couple days

My social worker is COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. She not only sent me VERY personal information for another client, but then called me the next day being very condescending and belittling because she failed to communicate that she wasn’t on schedule and was upset that I checked in with her 15 minutes after the set time to meet to see where she is and if she was still coming. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. It just feels uncomfortable being there. The staff, especially the intake person, was not helpful at all. I tried explaining my struggles, but she showed zero empathy. I wanted to see her, but she was always busy with someone else, leaving me waiting forever. Not the supportive environment you'd hope for when dealing with mental health issues. It's a waste of time going there.

This place makes me feel like myself. I allowed this organization 3 stars, because what s good is very good..however, whats bad is actually very bad at Across Boundaries. I have had CWs that I didn't even get to know in person and in weeks, after you have shared all your personal struggles with them and signed a consent to release information form, with no foreword, just be replaced. My experience was good during the first 2 years, after that, you as the client don't seem to come first or even matter to the mid-upper management. If
