Five sessions and $1200 later, I'm being told that they aren't actually diagnosing me with anxiety, to have the diagnosis will be several hundred dollars. Also, no medication for it, just cognitive behavioral therapy at $240 an hour. I was looking for a cause and a solution, not to just chat with a random stranger. Literally all they're doing is milking your benefits until you have none left. Better off dealing with Better Help, they don't diagnose either but at least they don't charge you full

I think that Advance Health is, unfortunately, a perfect representation of the Canadian health care system, and particularly, the Canadian mental health care system, that is, almost non-existent. I started with a therapist that I chose myself, based on her qualifications, and I stayed with her for about 18 months (I did not meet with her too frequently because at $175 an hour, my insurance would barely cover 10 sessions).
