Please please please take care of yourself by NOT seeking any support from this crisis line. This was my second attempt to reach out and the counsellor kept cutting me off to tell me she couldn't hear me. At first she responded showing she can hear me then made me switch 2 headsets and normal call mode only for her to cut the line without so much as saying sorry I still can't hear you. If you decide to call a crisis line, you have most likely reached a point at which you believe that you have no other options. You want to be listened to. You want to feel understood. Advice and feedback only help if they are desired. You don't appreciate when someone who is there to help talks over you and is dismissive to any degree. The lady who answered my call was very dismissive and rude. She said “what do you want me to do about that I have other callers on the queue” in a very dismissive and rude tone when I called to vent about a situation. The workers should be more empathetic. Nothing about the call helped my situation.
