Pine River Institute

This institute looks much different on the surface than the others, as part of the system. But, how is using the same old strategies such as school suspensions helping these kids change from anything different? If educators there are not equipped with authentic remedial solutions, lacking a willingness to change, thus continue to default on traditional tactics such as suspensions, then how is this institution not continuing to catapult vulnerable kids through the school-to-prison pipeline? Pine River Institute helped to save our child’s life. An amazing, immersive, supportive place with hugely compassionate and highly trained staff. My daughter is due to finish the program soon. She hated it at first because it’s not easy but she is the first one to say it’s an incredible program and she has made friends for life. She recently thanked us for getting her to Pine River! the only good thing i can say about this program is the staff are amazing, compassionate and caring. they truly care about you and your needs while in the program and do what they can. the clinical team on the other hand is not they have a different agenda and do not treat equally, anytime serious conflicts occur they resort back to ‘the woods’ the base part of the program which gives no progression on treatment or a home plan which is the goal of the program, the aftercare of the program is als

A truly unique, holistic approach to healing that involves the whole family unit. The programme is not easy, not a quick fix, which is why it works. The staff is simply amazing.
